REPETTO x NICOLAS ANDREAS TARALIS
Author: admin
To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Repetto organised a charity auction, inviting various established fashion designers and brands to utilise existing pairs of Repetto shoes, but re-work or re-model them in their signature styles. The finished shoes would then be sold at the auction.
Having consulted with Tzenkoff about this project, we agreed to work with Repetto.
To create something really special – which, in artistic terms, would combine a sense of process, with a certain level of chance and spontaneity – Nicolas Andreas Taralis, came up with a bold concept that was clearly not for the faint hearted.
Utilising his classic 80s car, a DeLorean, he drove over the shoes, leaving distinct tyre marks upon them. Taralis then took a series of photographs of the vehicle, which were tucked into the shoe box alongside this freshly “road tested” footwear.
