Goyard, the legendary Parisian malletier (trunk-maker), in collaboration with Devambez, is proud to announce the publication of the first ever book devoted to the history of trunk-making.

Continuing in the tradition of prestige collections dating back to the 1920s, this highly limited and exclusive edition both embodies and celebrates the golden age of luxury travel, from horse-drawn carriages to luxury ocean liners.

Each highly collectible book is presented in a special made-to-order trunk, and each named copy is unique. Clients are invited to choose the colour of the canvas for the trunk, which can also be initialled and adorned with individually chosen stripes. Copies are numbered from 1 to 233, reflecting the rarity and authenticity of both the book and the case.

This magnificent art book is printed on deckled vellum paper custom-made by Arches, the historic French papermakers. Traditional letterpress techniques have been used for the text, and the paper features its own watermark. Goyard and Devambez have together created a highly desirable object and a captivating tome, both conveying a true sense of bygone splendour.
