The unleashing of Power, Kenzo’s new fragrance for men, was a significant launch for the brand; one demanding an appropriately high impact advertising campaign which would indeed resonate with today’s most style-conscious gents.

Working, once again, with the art director Mark Jubber would prove fruitful for all concerned, as the memorable image that he subsequently created encapsulated the pleasing paradoxes of this new scent superbly.

In the aforementioned image, the appearance of a fragile-yet-strong flower – symbolising femininity – is offset against the presence of a contemporary male. The overall result of the campaign was one of unabashed aspiration and desirability – which extolled the virtues of this new scent to, appropriately enough, powerful effect.

Shot in an unmistakeably L.A-based house – stark, modern, sleek – and aside its glittering swimming pool, this series of impeccably-orchestrated images created by photographer Mark Segal worked perfectly for the Penhalta advertising campaign for 2008 with the models Evandro and Justin Gaston.

The positive reactions garnered as a result of this project significantly helped in boosting the credibility of the Penhalta brand, consequently advancing it to the same level of success enjoyed by more established labels – such as Hugo Boss or Dolce & Gabbana.

Drawing inspiration from the near-delirious gorgeousness of Holi, India’s annual festival of colour, this advertising campaign for Kenzoamour’s Indian Edition perfume line, overseen by art director Mark Jubber, played host to an array of rich, emotive and sensual hues.

Such an inviting proposition inevitably prompted a glowing response from all those seduced by this remarkable image.
